We’re CRAZY beaders…

July 28, 2008

So, it’s the yearly cabin trip, right?  And now, we decided that we need to be crafty in addition to the drinking and having fun.  Well, as usual, we all got a little carried away (not with the drinking, we actually hardly drank at all, but we DID get very carried away with the crafting).

Yes, those are tons of necklaces, bracelet, anklets, and pins!

Yes, those are tons of necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and pins!

I counted 25 necklaces, 5 or 6 bracelets, 1 anklet, and 10 pins.  Oh, and 1 key chain!  Wow!  We ARE crazy!

But there was non-crafty fun too…
  Getting ready for the walk...
Here we are getting ready for the walk.  Josie all ready to go in her reflective pouch.
The 2nd round of jewelry making…

Just look how happy this girl is!

This is by far my favorite photo from the weekend.  Or at least the one that makes me laugh the hardest.  Annie would not look at me to take the picture, so Cat is trying to force her to look at me.

The girls sitting on the rock with our names carved in it.

The rock of names... The rock of names.

Just added "Jos 08"
Just added “Jos 08”  The first graffiti Joslin has been a part of.  Hopefully this will not set her up for a life of crime… But leave it to her crazy aunts to be the first to subject her to this lifestyle…
But it was a great, relaxing weekend, and another perfect reminder to myself that I have the best friends a person could ever ask for.

So, nan, in her great word wisdom could not think of a title for her blog.  And they make it so scary too…please choose a title (note:this can not be changed so choose wisely), I feel like I’m in an Indiana Jones movie and if I don’t chose the right goblet that Christ used, I won’t receive eternal life, instead I’ll just waste away (just like Cat’s Dad’s deer-Ha!).

Anyway, so I resorted to an online thesaurus, in hopes to find something that would work.  Here’s what I came up with:

Flippancy-good word-made me smile when I read it- defined as “a lack of seriousness often at an improper time.”  Kinda relative to my life, but I always laugh at improper things, not so much at improper times…

Then I found nonsensical- defined as “conceived or made without regard for reason or reality.”  Now, my life most of the time-well, some of the time- does not seem to make sense, or I should say, what happens to me in my life does not often seem to make sense (we all know what I’m talking about-the waterfall of s***, the barbie doll arm in my sink, my tire flying off on 1-77 and the policeman not believing me, etc).  So, of course, like I always do, I switched up “nan” for “non”, and voila!: My Nansensical life!  Yea!
